‘Invented in Utah’ 2010 is a non-profit challenge that educates the inventors of Utah and connects them with the local businesses that serve them. The primary goal is to promote creativity and innovation in Utah and help people take their inventions from ideas to reality.

…When I got hired to do a re-branding make over for ‘iiU’ 2010, it was my challenge to create a logo that was equally inspiring and creative as the event itself.

This post shares my process of creating what came to be the final ‘Invented in Utah’ 2010 logo. It begins with quickies from my sketchbook, then digital mock-ups, and then once I found a direction I liked, I played around with it until it was just right. Here it is. Enjoy.
